Book excerpt: After completing my first book "The Huevolution of Sacred Muur Science" I found there were many aspects of Muur history and culture that I touched on too lightly. So, I set out to do a follow up book that more or less expounded on subjects like Joseph Smith and the Mormons, the Poro & Keetowah societies, and the Delawares & Nanticokes. This particular book also has a chapter on ancient & modern round ball sports, after reading it, one, might better explain the overall craze of round ball sports in America. One of the most fascinating aspects of Moorish Science Temple history is the (Pan American Conference 1928) And the so called Moor circle (7). I conclude this book with Addendums dealing with these very intriguing subjects along with the national headress the (Fez). My mother is part Nanticoke and Fulani, my father Cherokee & Mende. My mission, was to represent my family roots through literature along with magnifying cultures not often written about, at least not by one of its own.

Rating Book: 4.0/5 (48 users)

Download or read book King Henry VIII written by William Shakespeare and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2014-09-25 with total page 544 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: King Henry VIII has one of the fullest theatrical histories of any play in the Shakespeare canon, yet has been consistently misrepresented, both in performance and in criticism. This edition offers a new perspective on this ironic, multi-layered, collaborative play, revealing it as a complex meditation on the progress of Reformation which sees English life since Henry VIII's day as a series of bewildering changes in national and personal allegiance and represents 'history' as the product of varied and contradictory testimony. McMullan makes a powerful claim for the rehabilitation of Henry VIII, providing the fullest performance history of any edition to date and reading the work not as a marginal 'late' Shakespeare play but as a play which is paradigmatic of the achievement of Renaissance drama as a whole.`This is a staggeringly brilliant, captivating edition that will undoubtedly occasion a huge surge of critical interest in this neglected play. For those of use who have never taken Henry VIII very seriously ' perhaps dismissing it as a late collaborative play of no consequence or as conservative propaganda ' McMullan's introduction is genuinely revelatory.'Eric Rasmussen, University of Nevada at Reno, Shakespeare Survey

With amazing characters and excellent world-building, this exciting sequel is one not to be missed!" - Melissa Robles, @thereaderandthechef Instagram creator and YA Books Central’s Instagram manager "As with the first book, Farah's exquisite detailing is a pleasure. All in all, this second installment was a satisfying read. I'm eagerly anticipating book three!" - Sarah Benson, author of Born of Shadow "Best book I have read in 10 years. And that's saying something. This, was a FANTASTIC book and not only lived up to the expectations I had from the first book The Last of the Firedrakes but it surpassed it. I have not read a book that felt like a rollercoaster in such a long time. Perfect oscillation of suspense and downtime, but always the story moving forward and not stalling." - L.M. Chilcott, author of the Eloah Series "Oomerbhoy has the most beautiful writing style which twists and flows, taking you along in the story with ease. I read for hours before realising that it was late at night, because I was so immersed. The sign of a great storyteller." - Sorcha O'Dowd, author & blogger "The Rise of the Dawnstar by Farah Oomerbhoy was fantastic! Wow, this sequel to The Last of the Firedrakes really packs a punch! Full of action, adventure, intrigue and plot twists, this story continues to pull me further into its world. Love, loss and uncovered secrets built intense relationships and kept my interest. I can't wait for the next book in The Avalonia Chronicles. 5 stars!" - LynnDell Watson, librarian at Delta High School Library

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Counterpane (And Other Poems) is a uniquely passionate anthology; written between Mr. Nobles' last commercial release, Nobody (2008), and The Science of Expression (2014), it is [a] widely varied and remarkably well-realized collection, full of touching and intimate odes and ballads, lofty, searching sonnets and elegies, and shameless, almost embarrassingly personal narratives. An interesting entry to the already varied bibliography of the young American author, Counterpane is, if nothing else, worth a look from fellow poets, and a unique release from an up-and-coming talent.
